The Isolated Bidirectional EIA-232-D(V.24)/X.21 Adapter converts EIA-232-D(V.24) signals to X.21 signals and vice versa. The EIA-232-D(V.24) and X.21 ports are optically isolated from each other, in addition data and signals lines are protected by transient voltage suppressors.
This unit is powered by internal dual isolated power supply .
Full or half duplex asynchronous data transmission can be achieved at data rates up to 120K baud on extended distance.
This unit can be used for X.21 data line monitoring .
When the rack version is used these converters can be mixed in the some rack with MIL-188-C, MIL-188-114A, fibre optic and current loop converters, to provide multiplexing/concentrator function .
